Matt Lockwood

Matt is an entrepreneur, advisor, storyteller and attorney who has held key positions at the highest levels of government, academia, technology, policy and the legal profession.

At Google, Matt acted as chief of staff for Google Maps and strategic communications lead for Google Street View, as well as managing executive communications for Google Search and other core products. Previously, he served as a special assistant to the president of Caltech and the Jet Propulsion Lab, a speechwriter for New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg and a litigation attorney at Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

After moving back to DC, Matt led communications and product management for the Economic Innovation Group, a public policy organization that drove the advocacy campaign to create Opportunity Zones. Most recently, he founded and served as CEO of LGND, a communications agency based in Washington, D.C. with multiple Fortune 100 clients, best-in-class analytical and technical capabilities, advocacy wins at the federal level and presidential campaign experience.

Matt received his JD from the University of Iowa and his BA from Georgetown University, and currently resides in Washington, D.C.
